ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Friday, March 10, 2017) – Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, the providers of Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality to Atlantic City’s historic Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center, today announced the installation of a new digital marquee display on Boardwalk Hall façade that will be utilized to promote upcoming venue events, local advertisers, and convey community awareness information.
Spectra partnered with several organizations to design, manufacture, and install an integrated LED video display on the West Hall façade facing the boardwalk that can be seen from both directions upon approach. The Vantage LED display system boasts several unique benefits including an ultra-low power configuration and hardware which requires 30% less power consumption than other manufacturers and means lower operating costs over time. The system is also future-proof, in which the display is easily upgradeable to higher resolutions as time progresses by simply swapping out the modules and adding power supplies, without the need of installing a new display. The display is controlled through SM Infinity Cloud Based Software which allows anytime access, remote diagnostics, and can be easily controlled from any web-connected device.
“The new sign provides another opportunity for us to let our visitors know about the great entertainment and events happening at Boardwalk Hall and around Atlantic City,” said Chris Howard, CRDA’s Executive Director. “It’s a highly visible asset that will further enhance our marketing efforts.”
Additional organizations instrumental in this project’s completion include professional consultants: SOSH Architects, CZAR Structural Engineering, and Concord Engineering; Installers Eastern Sign and Tech and Palmieri Electric.
The new digital marquee located on the façade of the Atlantic City Convention Center is expected to be completed by the end of the month. This display replaces the existing signage facing the Atlantic City Expressway and will welcome visitors travelling into the city.
